Our current clubhouse, built by club members 29 years ago, has served us well but is no longer fit for purpose.
To enhance the sporting and social experience of all users of our tennis club we feel it is now essential to create a modern clubhouse facility that provides a safe accessible environment for everyone.
With a greatly increased demand for tennis from all sectors of the local community our vibrant club is in need of a social space to match the new on-court facilities – a brand new clubhouse is our vision!
Club member Rud Sawers, from Rud Sawers Architects, has very generously created some stunning visuals and plans which we showcased for the first time at our 50th Anniversary Celebration in the yurt.
We are at a very early stage in our vision but there is a wonderful momentum within the club, ‘soft’ conversations with some local councillors have been very positive and now we need your input. Some of you will have already seen these plans and given valuable feedback on the day but we have a simple form below for some initial feedback which will help us when we apply for planning permission.
Nothing is set in stone, we want an open, vibrant discussion with as many members and non-members as possible as to what you might like to see in the clubhouse, why you think we need a new clubhouse or even don’t need one!
Please look at the visuals below and fill out the form with any thoughts
MANY THANKS… this is an exciting time to be part of our club!
