GREAT BRITISH TENNIS WEEKEND at TOTNES TENNIS CLUB
Come along on Saturday 23 July at Borough Park.
The courts will be available for free tennis from 2pm-5pm. All ages (parents, children, grand-parents!) and abilities are welcome to participate in fun activities designed to introduce newcomers or inspire others to return to the game of tennis. There is also a BBQ with free food and refreshments. RACQUETS & BALLS PROVIDED.
Two LTA registered coaches will be on hand to offer tips and advice in a sympathetic learning environment.
Last year, Totnes resident Martin Billis summed up the hundreds of positive comments flying around at the 2105 GBWT event, saying: “I had a great afternoon hitting a tennis ball again for the first time in over 10 years. Thanks Totnes Tennis Club.”
What is happening on the day…?
Fun mini-tennis for ‘little ones’ and beginners! Try out Mini-Tennis with LTA coach Tonia Gooderham! Played with shorter rackets, softer balls and over smaller nets this is all about FUN!
Family Fun Tennis. Families can get active by hitting the tennis courts at the same time and have fun while learning new skills in an enjoyable environment. Two LTA registered coaches will be on hand to offer tips and advice in a sympathetic learning environment.
Free BBQ all afternoon, with drinks refreshments and a top raffle prize of a dinner for two donated by The Cott Inn at Dartington.
